How we research and check a guide
- Start from the maths. Every claim about odds, margin or expected value is worked through with real numbers, and the calculators use the same formulas as the guides.
- Test against real prices. We test our rules against a full year of match data and real bookmaker prices before we rely on them, and we drop markets where the price is usually too short to beat. That’s why the Value Predictor shows the price, the fair price and the break-even odds next to every match.
- Read the source. For offers and rules, we read the operator’s full terms and the Gambling Commission’s own pages, not a summary of them.
- Say what can go wrong. Each guide covers the risks, the limits and the times when a method doesn’t work.
- Keep it current. Pages show the date they were last updated. If you spot a mistake, please tell us on the contact page and we will fix it.
